Safir was an EU-co-financed program (implemented via the Institut francais with partners like Lab'ess) that ran from 2020-2024 across nine MENA countries including Lebanon, supporting over 1,000 young project leaders through training, a 2-month incubation stage, and a 6-month acceleration stage with grants up to EUR 25,000 for social, cultural, and environmental-impact ventures; a successor phase has continued this work regionally.
