About the enabler
Launched in June 2020 and hosted at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani, Takween is Iraq's first startup accelerator, funded by the European Union and the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (implemented by Expertise France) as part of the Yanhad youth-entrepreneurship project; its 12-week program offers equity-free seed capital, training, and international mentorship to growth-stage tech businesses.
