AYOLA
Climate-Adaptive Food Infrastructure. Turning Sunlight into Food.
About the startup
AYOLA is an industrial agrifood dehydration platform designed for hot and arid climates.\r\nThe company has developed a patented multi-tier system for controlled sun-drying and low-energy dehydration of agricultural products, enabling stable processing, extended shelf life, and higher value-added output.\r\n\r\nAYOLA addresses key challenges faced by major agricultural producers such as Egypt, including post-harvest losses, limited industrial dehydration capacity, and high pressure on water and energy resources. The platform is particularly suited for crops such as tomatoes and dates, which are produced at scale but suffer from significant seasonal losses.\r\n\r\nThe technology has been fully developed and validated through an operational pilot in Qatar under real climatic conditions, including high temperatures, humidity, and dust. AYOLA is now ready for industrial deployment and scaling through localized processing facilities.\r\n\r\nAYOLA’s mission is to strengthen food security by enabling efficient local processing, reducing agricultural losses, improving resource efficiency, and supporting sustainable export-oriented agrifood value chains in climate-challenged regions.
