About the startup
Founded in March 2026, Baseet is an AI-powered platform for university students, built by a two-person team in Egypt. Our vision is to support students across disciplines through academic assistance, community, practical supplies, and career opportunities.
Today, Baseet's initial focus is engineering education. It helps students understand lectures and prepare for exams using their own course materials and past papers. Current tools include course-grounded explanations and cited answers, quizzes, topic-based practice, model solutions, saved conversations, timetable and calendar tools, and GPA planning. Students can interact in Egyptian Arabic and English. Baseet also supports practical engineering projects through course component bundles and a workflow for reviewing and quoting 3D prints.
Our current business model combines free course resources with paid AI memberships and practical project services.
Our roadmap includes study support across more majors, a community chat for each major, and a university-supplies marketplace with a portal for third-party vendors, where Baseet would earn a percentage of sales. We also plan university collaborations and partnerships with leading corporations to provide internship opportunities exclusive to Baseet students. These marketplace, community, university-partnership, and corporate-internship initiatives are future plans.
