Gatelion is an AI governance startup built on a simple belief: intelligence needs governance.
AI agents are moving from answering questions to taking action. They place orders, issue refunds, book travel and change customer records. Businesses want that speed, but most can't control what an agent actually does. An agent with an API key can do everything that key allows, payments run the moment it decides, and when auditors ask which agent did what, for whom and why, there is no answer. So companies either block agents and fall behind, or let them in and take on risk they can't see.
Gatelion gives them a third option. We build the gate between AI agents and business systems. Every action an agent takes passes through a Gatelion Gateway, which checks it against the company's own rules. Routine work runs at once, anything over a limit waits for a person to approve the exact values, and anything not allowed never happens. Every step is recorded in a tamper-evident audit trail.
The platform governs both a company's own agents and its customers' AI assistants. Customers sign in with the business's own login, give consent and confirm actions themselves, which opens a new AI channel without opening the API to unchecked bots. Gatelion connects to any REST system without code, works with Claude and any MCP client, and runs either hosted by Gatelion or inside the client's own network.
We are starting in the Middle East and North Africa, with a focus on Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt, where AI adoption is moving fast and regulators increasingly expect human oversight.
