Percepta is an early-stage AI startup building a cognitive safety intelligence layer for industrial environments.\r\nOur product uses computer vision and contextual reasoning to detect hazardous proximity between human workers and industrial equipment, issue real-time alerts, and provide actionable safety recommendations before accidents occur.\r\nOur mission is to shift industrial safety from a reactive model where incidents are investigated after harm to a proactive model that prevents accidents by identifying near-misses and unsafe conditions early. Percepta focuses on indoor manufacturing environments where humans and moving machinery coexist, such as warehouses and production floors.\r\nWhat makes Percepta unique is that we go beyond basic object detection or surveillance. Instead of only identifying whether safety equipment is present, Percepta understands context: how close a worker is to a machine, whether they are entering a dangerous zone, and why the situation is risky at that moment. The system explains the risk in human readable terms and recommends specific corrective actions, while keeping humans workers and supervisors in full control of decisions.\r\nWe are building Percepta as a software-first intelligence layer, starting with a web-based MVP and expanding toward edge deployment and integrated hardware as we validate the product through pilots. Privacy, explainability, and human-in-the-loop design are core principles of our approach, ensuring the system is practical, compliant, and trusted in real industrial settings.
