Taapdeel
A smarter way to swap what you have for what you need.
About the startup
Taapdeel is an Egyptian peer-to-peer swapping platform that helps people exchange items they no longer use for things they actually need or want. Instead of selling, buying, negotiating prices, or dealing with strangers, Taapdeel makes swapping easier and safer by prioritizing opportunities within users’ trusted networks of friends, relatives, acquaintances, and communities. The platform uses users’ products, wish lists, interests, relationships, and location to recommend relevant swap opportunities. Our vision is to make reuse a natural part of everyday life, extend the useful life of products, reduce unnecessary spending and waste, and build a trusted circular marketplace starting in Egypt and expanding across the MENA region.
