Trastain
About the startup
Trastain is a marketplace that connects travelers with affordable, sustainable stays, with a special focus on cultural and local solutions often overlooked by global platforms, particularly in the MENA region.\r\n\r\nOur platform offers a new kind of AI-powered search. Travelers can discover stays not only by the basic search and filtration, but also by uploading a description, image, or even a video. The system matches them with the most relevant sustainable experiences. Once a stay is selected, travelers can directly chat with an AI co-host linked to each listing, available anytime to answer practical questions and guide guests throughout their journey.\r\n\r\nEvery stay on Trastain is encouraged to move toward sustainability. Through certifications such as the Hotel Sustainability Basics initiative by WTTC, we help hosts adopt eco-friendly practices like reducing water and energy use, while also empowering local communities. This ensures travelers enjoy more responsible choices, and hosts gain visibility and recognition for their sustainable efforts.
